Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

So I didn't pass Physics 1 again... and looking on the school website I saw that I may be eligible to do transfer credit from another college (due to emotional stress from Ben and all).
I went in to talk to the head of the physics department and said that I would be able to take Physics 1 at Red Rocks Community College and transfer the credit over.

I gotta look up all the stuff I need to do to register for classes there now... and I will need to get my license... but I can't go through Physics 1 here again. So I guess I'll have to hunker down and finally get my license (and then a car).

Unless I can get my license before the spring semester, I think I'm going to take the class in the summer. Sadly, that means I won't be able to intern at Wolf Park ):
*sigh* pros and cons I guess.

I still have to tell my parents I didn't pass Physics 1 here again but at least I have a plan to tell them.

Okay okay, besides all the stupid Physics stress, all the freshman are moved into my suite now. They're all pretty cool so I think we'll get along (though they said they will try and dress me up one day... haha I'd love to see them try!). Right now they're all up doing the M-climb. Gotta love my college's silly little traditions.

Beyond that, Fox cosplay is nearly complete! I'll be getting the head soon and will be able to finish the jumpsuit *dances*

Aww, sorry to hear that you didn't pass physics again. Like you said, at least you have a game plan though and hopefully it will work out better for you.

Blah for not being able to intern at Wolf Park, but school is important. Someday you'll get there though! (Me too! Haha.)

Well let's hope you can transfer the credit from the other college. A similar thing happened to me , but with grant money and they didn't transfer the money even though they should've. So I empathize.
